Our Outreach Model
Purpose of This Page
This page explains how Martija-IHPE structures, funds, and sustains its community outreach initiatives. Our model integrates institutional partnerships, educator mobilization, and consulting revenue to create a self-sustaining system that expands access to health professions pathways in underserved communities.
How the Model Works
Martija-IHPE generates revenue through institutional consulting services. A defined portion of that revenue is reinvested directly into community outreach programming funding materials, travel, and educator time required to deliver programming in medically underserved areas at no cost to schools or organizations.
This creates a self-sustaining loop: stronger institutions produce better-prepared health professionals, and better-informed students from underserved communities are more likely to pursue and complete health professions training eventually returning to serve the communities that shaped them.
🏛️ Three Pillars of Our Outreach
Institutional Partnerships: Schools and community organizations host Martija-IHPE programming. Partnerships are formalized through agreements that clarify roles, logistics, and expected outcomes.
Educator Mobilization: Martija-IHPE engages Subject Matter Experts working health professionals across specialties to deliver field-specific content directly to students. This ensures outreach is current, credible, and career-realistic.
Consulting Revenue Reinvestment: A defined percentage of consulting service revenue funds outreach operations. This model removes dependence on external grants and ensures programming sustainability.
