One Door, Three Rooms

How We Work

Every program conversation at Martija Institute for Health Professions Education LLC follows one model: one door, three rooms. We lead with a single offer, the Discovery Review. Areas of support come forward only after the review surfaces a defined need. No program is ever asked to choose from a menu of services it has not yet had the chance to evaluate.

The Front Door

The Discovery Review, the front door

The Discovery Review is a structured look at where a program can strengthen. It is built on respectful, empathy-based questions and information the program provides, combines qualitative and quantitative input, and produces a clear, shared picture of priorities the program can act on. It carries no obligation.

It does not judge faculty, and it does not rank a program against others. Discipline-specific judgments about content validity remain with program faculty and, where useful, subject matter experts. Faculty keep final authority over academic content and validity throughout. The Discovery Review informs decisions; it does not override the program.

Why one door

It removes guesswork

A program is not asked to self-select among services it has not evaluated.

It diagnoses before it prescribes

The review reveals the need rather than assuming it.

It keeps every conversation simple

Simple and consistent: one clear next step.

What support can look like

These areas come forward after the Discovery Review, not before. Scope is defined afterward, in writing, by the Director.

Curriculum and Assessment Consulting

Support for curriculum alignment, course and assessment design, and reliability review of examinations. Faculty review, formally adopt, and retain final authority over academic content and validity.

Community Outreach and Pipeline Programming

Support for applicant reach, realistic representation of health careers, and a program’s pipeline, with no deficit framing and a commitment to informed decision-making.

Faculty Development and Academic Advancement

Delivery of faculty development and support for academic growth. The work supports faculty; it does not substitute for institutional governance.

What we do not do

We do not provide patient care, grant degrees or credentials, offer licensure advice, replace institutional governance, or guarantee outcomes. All services are educational, consultative, or developmental in nature.

The first step is a conversation.
