Why We Do This

Impact and Reinvestment

Our consulting work and our community work are one commitment, not two.

Reinvestment

When a program engages Martija Institute for Health Professions Education LLC, that engagement does more than strengthen the program. Revenue from our consulting work sustains our community-facing work in health professions education, including outreach in medically underserved communities.

That is what reinvestment means here: the stronger our consulting practice becomes, the more consistently we can show up for the communities that have historically lacked access to health professions exposure.

How the loop works

Three steps, repeating.

Programs engage us

Health professions programs come through one door, the Discovery Review, and engage us where the review defines a need.

Revenue is reinvested

Part of what our consulting work earns goes directly into sustaining our community-facing work in health professions education.

Communities benefit

Students and families in medically underserved communities get realistic exposure to health careers, with no deficit framing and a commitment to informed decision-making.
